I started painting in 1990 when working away from home in Newcastle and then Aberdeen. I started with watercolours and oils and am now about to venture into heavy bodied acrylics, having been inspired by Hashim Akib’s demonstration at TAG. I joined Tatsfield Art Group about 4 years ago, based on the enthusiasm shown by all the members. I liked the way everything was so organised. My favourite painters are J.W. Turner and a contemporary artist Adabanji Alade both completely different styles. Turner’s style is so ethereal and Adabanji’s enthusiasm is so infectious. I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects including, Urban, Land & Marine scapes also Boat Scenes, Aircraft and Wildlife, in particular Kingfishers. I have also done Portrait sketching and painting.
