The group continued to paint at home during lockdown, setting each other challenges - take a look at the results below!
Exhibition Summer 2020 Review of Spring 2020 Exhibition in Parish Magazine June 2020 Originally planned for the weekend of 5th and 6th May 2020, Tatsfield Art Group’s annual exhibition has inevitably been postponed until October. However, this unexpected turn of events has led to a new way of show casing their art work and a ‘virtual’ exhibition was launched on Friday 8th May to coincide with VE Day 75 at home celebrations. Although the group are no temporarily longer meeting in the Village Hall each Monday, that doesn’t mean they have been sitting on their laurels. With plenty of time on their hands and following Government guidelines to ‘Stay home, stay safe’, the talented artists have produced some wonderful paintings which you are currently able to view on the Tatsfield Art Group website. As a previous exhibitor I was very excited to see what they had been up to and I wasn’t disappointed! The paintings are varied – from portraits to animals to landscapes and more, in a variety of mediums. Guest exhibitors have showcased their work also – from colourful CD butterflies to Manga designs. Most pieces are for sale, so a chance for you to own an original piece of local art! Medium, size and price have all been included; along with contact details should you wish to make a purchase. Hopefully, we can visit the ‘real’ exhibition in the Village Hall in October, where I’m promised there will be some spectacular self-portraits (see below for a sneaky peek!). The group are hoping to resume sessions at some stage, so keep an eye out for the re-release of the 20/21 calendar with up to date details of tutors and activities. Enjoy! Sue White
